When in Rome (or Bath) go and watch the rugby!

Whether or not you’re a fan of rugby, if you want to embrace the local passion during a stay in a B and B in Bath then there’s only one thing for it – catch a game while you’re there. This is one city that adores rugby, and Bath Recreation Ground is where it all happens.

Those sporty folk in Bath chat about rugby, watch it and play it, and if you want to take in one of the traditional Bath experiences you need to get match tickets and visit The Raven pub for a pie and something to drink either before or after. You could even go the extra mile and get up to speed on the ongoing debate about whether Bath Rugby should stay where it is at The Rec or move to somewhere new – it’s a debate that’s been running for generations.

The ground is easy to reach and it’s just a five minute stroll from Bath’s train and bus stations, so if you want to wander to the ground from your hotel then it won’t take you long at all. Don’t forget to book your accommodation well in advance!
