Treat mum this Mother’s Day

Here’s a date for your diary – it’s Mother’s Day on Sunday 30th March, and if you feel like making this one extra special then may we suggest treating mum to a stay in a bed and breakfast in Bath and some time in a beautiful Georgian city?

Bailbrook Lodge bed and breakfast is an elegant country house found within a short walk from the centre of the city, so it makes the perfect base for some time enjoying the attractions with mum. Bath is every bit as quaint as it always looks in films, so whether you take her for a leisurely cream tea or spend some time wandering the shops you’ll have a time to remember this Mother’s Day.

Why not walk the footsteps of some of the most famous characters in literary history with a Jane Austen tour? Explore the Jane Austen Centre, the home of all things to do with the writer, before making your way to the buildings that inspired novels such as Persuasion and Northanger Abbey. Tours take their walkers to the places where Miss Austen liked to shop, the house where she lived and the streets she walks – and little has changed about them since her time.
