It just goes to show that aside from the many Bath spa breaks on offer, the city always offers a wide range culture and entertainment and many of these events are free, just like the Sue MacPherson exhibition at the Royal Photographic Society.
The Dorset based photographer Sue Macpherson has been a member of the Royal Photographic Society (or RPS) for over eight years. Aside from her commissioned UK work and other exhibitions around the British Isles, Sue also dedicates her time photographically to the Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund.
So each year Sue travels to the area of ‘Jinja’ in Uganda with the HvSMF to photograph all the schools that the charity is working with. The outcome is this special exhibition, which is made up of photographs depicting the work in Uganda and the people Sue has met; many of these are her own favourite images.
This compelling exhibition is completely free to visit and runs from Monday – Friday, 9.30 – 16.30, now until 28th of February at the Royal Photographic Society, Fenton House, Bath. For further information please contact: 01225 325720
Make sure you book your Bath Accommodation with Bailbrook Lodge for a relaxing break whilst enjoying this and many of the other exhibitions and attractions around the city.
