The Bath International Music Festival

If you are planning a visit to the city of Bath during the end of May or early June to possibly enjoy one of the therapeutic and relaxing spa breaks in Bath currently on offer and also enjoy music, you will be in for a real treat as the Bath International Music Festival will be taking place during this period.

The Bath International Music Festival was originally inaugurated back in 1948, and since then has grown into an event of national significance with an international reputation. During the festival’s two week period, many of the city’s venues feature a wide and varied mix of musical talent, ranging from genres like classical, world and contemporary to international jazz, electronica and folk, with many being free-to-the-public events.

This year’s line-up includes The Escher String Quartet, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Benjamin Grosvenor, Adriano Adewale, Valeriy Sokolov & Evgeniy Isotov, Tord Gustavsen Ensemble, Bath Philharmonia, Courtney Pine, the Brighton Early Music Festival Renaissance Players, Ashok Klouda, Bart Lafollette, Reinis Zarinš, John Myerscough, Ruth Jenkin and many more.

The Bath International Music Festival will take place on 30 May – 10 June; for more information, call the Bath Festival’s Box Office on: 01225 463362

Be sure to book your Bath accommodation soon with Bailbrook Lodge for a luxury bed and breakfast, so you can not only enjoy one of the annual musical highlights in the city but also Bath’s rich cultural heritage.
