The Bath Digital Festival

A new and exciting festival is due to take place in the city of Bath during March, the first Bath Digital Festival. The festival will be taking place at various venues across the city from 15 – 25 March and brings together a wide range of exciting events that will allow members of the public to explore the growing digital scene in Bath and get involved in a variety of interesting projects.

Bath is home to a thriving digital scene with a fast-growing digital sector – this includes some leading research being undertaken at the University of Bath and Bath Spa University, with many cutting-edge digital enterprises now based in the city.

So, it only seems natural to celebrate this creativity and the digital influence in the city of Bath with a digital specific festival, which will include a variety of events aimed at opening up the digital scene to the general public.

The range of events vary from competitions for local schoolchildren to city-wide events where members of the public can try their hand at coding or partake in one of the many technology workshops, enjoy some of the digital performances and watch demonstrations by industry specialists. And, if you are a newbie to computers and the internet, you can even attend one of the free ‘Web for the Terrified’ 45 minute workshops to dip your toe in.
