Simon Callow at Theatre Royal in Bath

Simon Callow a big star of the silver screen is coming to Somerset’s spa city to star at the Theatre Royal, Bath, from the 10th to the 15th October. The much loved Simon Callow will be performing in two forthcoming productions which were originally written by Charles Dickens and have been adapted by Patrick Garland.

Simon Callow who has starred in a number of Hollywood and English cinema classics like; Four Weddings and a Funeral, A Room with a View and Howards End to name just few, is a widely regarded and celebrated English actor in both cinema and theatre.

The virtuoso storyteller brings to life two one-man Charles Dickens plays, “Dr Marigold” and “Mr Chops”. Proof that this really is absorbing theatrical entertainment at its best was a the sell-out run throughout London.



These are real classic performance pieces, which were even hugely popular when Charles Dickens performed them on many of his famed reading tours, these modern day performances are homage to a classic English writer.
