Radstock Museum

The Radstock Museum can evoke memories of life in the past or educate you on how people lived and worked in a typical mining community. This museum exhibits many items that are special to the area and were a common sight during the height of coal mining in the Somerset and Bath area. Go along and see the re-created shops, school and geology collections, mining memorabilia and much more. All contained within a beautiful Grade II listed and restored Victorian Market Hall.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy the Radstock Museum which helps to bring the community together and preserve important parts of the area’s history for future generations. Heritage walks are available to let you see former local pit sites and try your hand at fossil collecting. With 15 permanent exhibits of various sizes and special events throughout the year you can find plenty to do and see at the museum, with friendly guides and enthusiastic volunteers helping to make your trip special.
