Living History in Dyrham Park

Just ten minutes away from our hotel is Dyrham Park, a wonderful National Trust property with beautiful grounds. One of the best parts of having a National Trust property in such close proximity is the variety of events that they put on throughout the year, with something to suit everyone.

On July 14th and 15th, you’ll be able to visit the Old Lodge in Dyrham Park’s grounds and find the re-enactment group Wulfheodenas creating a living history exhibition by recreating Anglo-Saxon life for you. In full costume and with an approach that stays as true to history as possible, the group recreate a small Anglo-Saxon settlement, allowing you to learn all about day-to-day life for the people living then.

It’s a wonderful way to learn a little more about the history of Britain during your holiday in Bath, and it should be an entertaining and exciting day out for anyone interested in this part of history.
