Illuminate Bath: The Queen’s Jubilee Weekend

June 1st sees the beginning of a very special event taking place in Bath’s city centre; it’s where art meets technology with the Illuminate Bath Jubilee Weekend celebrations. If you are visiting the city during this time and staying in one of the local Bath hotels, this will be a great opportunity to see a unique evening event at nightfall.

This special ‘festival of light’ brings together a range of fantastic and engaging projected artworks to the heart of the city. This will include a number of innovative light installations set up in public spaces at many of the city’s famous historical landmarks. These have a red, white and blue patriotic twist, in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee year.

Some of the historic architecture and famous places around Bath which will be featured in this colourful nocturnal event include Abbey Churchyard, Orange Grove, Pulteney Weir and Pulteney Bridge, plus a range of other well known locations in the city.

All of these unique light shows and installations will be completely free for the public to experience, whilst you take a relaxing evening stroll around Bath. For more information about this event call: 01225 876536 or visit the Illuminate Bath website at:

Simply book a stay at one of the luxurious hotels in Bath like Bailbrook Lodge if you want to be well placed to enjoy this unique event.
