Getting to Bath

Not only is Bath one of the easiest cities in the country to find your way around, but it’s also ideally located for a short break thanks to its location and fantastic public transport links. Spa breaks in Bath are ever popular as it’s just an hour and a half from London Paddington by train and, better yet, the station is right in the centre of the city.

The Georgian city is an easy drive from both the M4 and the M5 too, so whether you travel by car or enjoy sitting back and admiring the scenery by train it’s the perfect location for a short break when you want a quick journey. If you’re coming from further afield you’ll find Bristol airport just twenty miles from Bath, and there are regular connecting buses and transport links to whisk you into the heart of the hustle and bustle as soon as you’ve located your suitcase.

Bailbrook Lodge is an elegant bed and breakfast right in the heart of the historic city. If you travel by car you’ll be invited to make use of the free car park and if you take a taxi from Bath Spa railway station (which should last less than ten minutes) you’ll be reimbursed for your fare.
