Enjoy Bath’s museums before the crowds

The first few months of the year often find the city of Bath at its best, and if the idea of having the city much to yourselves appeals then it’s the perfect time for a stay in a Bath bed and breakfast. One of the city’s biggest attractions is the fact that it’s home to more museums than you can shake a stick at, and if you can visit before the summer season you’ll find them at their quietest and every inch as fascinating as they are during the busy period.

The Holburne Museum is one of the most accessible museums in Bath, and it’s open every day. This is one of the nicest museums to take the kids to as it prides itself on having something for everyone, and the exhibitions change regularly so there’s always something new to see. Those who visit the Fashion Museum from 15th April this year will be lucky enough to see Dress of the Year 2012, a unique ball gown made by House of Dior…well we can dream.

This is an exciting year for visitors to the American Museum in Britain too, as the exhibition New World, Old Maps will be running until November.
