Classic Childrens Story Performed at The Egg in Bath

November 4th & 5th will see what’s sure to be a superb production put on at The Egg in Bath. Olivier Award winning Mike Kenny has adapted children’s classic ‘Stig of the Dump’ into a stage performance that blends puppetry and performance.

The Egg is part of the Theatre Royal and has been specially designed for families with young children. The space is cosier and friendlier than most theatres, and set out so that children can feel they are part of the production instead of passive observers. It’s a setting that ensures a captive audience who will find themselves drawn into a world created by the performers.

‘Stig of the Dump’ tells the tale of Stig, a caveman living in a chalk pit used for dumping rubbish, and his friendship with Barney, a young boy whose grandmother’s garden backs onto the dump and who stumbles upon Stig during the summer holidays.

Performances are at 10.00am and 1.30pm on Friday 4th November and 11.30am and 3.00pm on Saturday 5th November. For more information on this performance while you are enjoying one of our Bath Spa breaks, call the Theatre Royal on 01225 823409 or visit their website.
