Catch the cycling bug with a stay in Bath

Cycling’s hit the headlines more than ever over the last couple of years, so if you’re feeling inspired to get back in the saddle and rediscover the fun of cycling then why not get started with a break in the city of Bath?

The city is home to some of the finest cycle routes in the country, and whether you’re after a traffic-free one that’s safe for the kids or a more adventurous one that takes in some of the views you’ll have a whole choice at your feet. Two Tunnels Greenway is one of the most popular cycle routes in the city, and it connects Bath and Midford so it’s a great way to see some of the countryside.

The route follows four miles of disused railway (always a good sign as that means it’s flat!) and includes Britain’s longest cycling tunnel which stretches for a whole mile along the way. This is part of the National Cycle Network and it’s only been open since April 2013.

The spa breaks in Bath are perfect for visitors to the city keen to get cycling, as all that pampering will be just what tired feet (and legs) need before heading home.
