The American day of independence is being celebrated at the Bath’s American Museum, together with various venues to make up the Bath Americana Festival. If you plan to visit the spa city and stay in one of the hotels in Bath, it’s sure to offer a real American festive and musical treat.
Taking place from July 4 – 8, The Bath Americana Festival is one of the South West’s favourite festivals of American folk music, focusing on Appalachian and bluegrass music. This year the festival features a wide array of supremely regarded artists from the American folk scene and offers a number of performances and educational workshops.
This year’s celebrations kick off at the beautiful Claverton Manor with a fun day of music from bands like, Sharps & Flats (bluegrass boy band), Buffalo Gals (distinctive blend of old-time mountain tunes and foot-stomping rhythms) and Appalachia (playing American roots inspired music).
Admission is completely free and visitors can enjoy local food and fun in the great outdoors of rural Claverton Down, there will be a BBQ and soft-drinks on offer to buy or you can bring you own picnic!
