Royal Photographic Society: Innocence of Childhood Exhibition

Throughout the month of October, the new exhibition “Innocence of Childhood” opens at the Royal Photographic Society at Fenton House in the Spa city of Bath.

The Innocence of Childhood is an exhibition by the highly acclaimed photographer John Chillingworth Hon. FRPS. The display is a collection of work taken from his large historical portfolio. It is largely made up of pictures of children from the 1950s & ‘60s, picturing daily life in that era. This exhibition is just a small fraction of John’s lifetime of work in photography.

John Chillingworth has often been described as one of the “makers of photographic history”. He was a member of the ‘star’ team of photographic journalists in the 1950’s, whose images told stories for the influential British picture magazine, the “Picture Post”.

So, if you are planning a trip to Bath shortly and would like to see this exhibition or alternatively you would like to take one of the many relaxing Bath Spa breaks in the city, then why not stay with us in our luxurious Georgian period house and enjoy the perfect bed and breakfast in relaxed surroundings.
