The Roman Baths may be one of Bath’s most famous historic sites but there’s a whole new experience bringing them to life – visitors can now meet Roman characters as they make their way around the attraction.
Who better to tell the story of the Baths than the people that created and used them? That’s why the tale of The Roman Baths is told through the eyes and experiences of those who lived at the time, and now you’ll bump into ‘real’ characters in full Roman dress as you explore the baths. The displays are brought to life with an introduction to a character, and the surrounding artefacts or objects mean all the more as visitors imagine the person they belonged to.
The new developments make the attraction even more engaging (especially for children) and it’s easy to see why it’s just been awarded fourth place in the TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Attraction Awards.
For a B and B in Bath that’s easily accessible from the city centre visit the historic Bailbrook Lodge. While we can’t promise you’ll stumble across Romans there are luxurious bedrooms complete with four poster beds and it makes for stylish accommodation with history throughout.
