Little Solsbury Hill

With some stunning views and the opportunity to help you get away from it all, Little Solsbury Hill is well worth a visit. The Battle of Mount Badon and King Arthurs victory is thought to have taken place here and it’s easy to imagine thousands of men fighting over a beautiful part of England.

Although Little Solsbury Hill is not sign-posted, it is relatively easy to find. If you’re travelling here by car as opposed to on foot, you should be prepared to park at the side of the road as the car park is only big enough for four cars. Having said that, this is not a particularly busy spot and you will be able to enjoy the fantastic scenery and touch of history without being disturbed.

The walk from Bath could take 2-3 hours depending on how fast you walk but it’s well worth it any time of the year. Book a Bath bed and breakfast, bring your walking gear and a camera and be prepared to be amazed by the incredible view that overlooks the beautiful city of Bath from a rather unique perspective. There are no amenities here, just nature itself but there is a pub not far away if you want to rest your weary legs.
