Art plays an integral part in Bath, as it is home to many galleries that exhibit old and modern pieces. Bath is a world-renowned centre of art and is home to one gallery in particular that attracts millions of people each year.
The Victoria Art Gallery is proud to announce the arrival of the work of Katie Sims, whose work will be displayed from the end of January 2013 to the beginning of April the same year. Shortlisted for the Saatchi New Sensations prize, Sim’s work has to be seen to be believed. Thought to be a rising star in the art world, this is the first time Sim’s has exhibited in a gallery and it won’t be her last.
Run by Bath and North East Somerset Council, the gallery is open from 10am- 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and 1:30pm-5pm on Sundays, at the time of writing, admission is free.
The Victoria Art Gallery and Sim’s exhibition is located in the centre of the city so if you’re lucky enough to be staying in a bed and breakfast in Bath, you probably won’t have far to walk before you come across the gallery itself.
