If you are staying in a local luxury Bath bed and breakfast or a hotel for your accommodation during August, you well be looking for some fun things to add to your holiday to-do list while you visit the spa city.
Maybe one way to quell your hunger for a little bit of culture would be with the screening of Glyndebourne’s: Le Nozze di Figaro at Bath’s art house cinema, the Little Theatre, on August 17.
This is an all-new production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s – Le Nozze di Figaro, which brings together the creative talents of Michael Grandage and Glyndebourne’s Robin Ticciati. The film also features new, up-and-coming talents like the British soprano Sally Matthews, who makes her Glyndebourne Festival debut as the Countess; playing alongside her as Figaro, also debuting, will be the Italian baritone Vito Priante.
This is sure to be a real treat for lovers of opera visiting Bath. Tickets range from £5 – £10. For more information, please contact: 01225 466822.
