For anyone travelling to Bath shortly for a relaxing city break, why not include some rural walking in your holiday schedule? Dyrham Park is a National Trust country house situated on the outskirts of Bath, and the Cotswold Voluntary Wardens have organised a special walk around the nearby farmland on October 28.
This is perfect if you are staying in local b and b in Bath accommodation or if you are enjoying one the therapeutic spa breaks in Bath during your city break. Dyrham Park is situated approximately 7 miles from Bath and offers visitors a chance to experience a beautifully kept 17th century mansion house with its extensive gardens.
The walk has been organised to coincide with the national ‘Great British Walking Festival’ taking place throughout the country. This particular walk will take around about 2.5 hours to complete and covers a distance of 4.5 miles, the walking difficulty is rated as moderate.
The standard admission fees for Dyrham Park and garden do not apply to anyone participating in this walk, but places are limited to the first 25 people arriving before 10.30AM
