There’s a little area of Bath called Widcombe, and it’s especially charming if you visit it at this time of year. Just cross the bridge opposite the railway station and you’ll step back in time, and the Christmas craft fair is just the excuse to explore this lesser-known corner of the city during a stay in a b and b in Bath.
The fair starts on 23rd November at St Matthew’s Church, and whether you’re just browsing or stocking up on unique gifts there’s always a cheery atmosphere that’s hard to resist. Artists and craft makers from all over the city enjoy the chance to showcase their wares, and the fair will run from 10.30am until 5pm. One of the most striking aspects of this event is the care that goes into decorating the church, and there’s always an appearance from the Widcombe Choir to add to the magic.
The fair will host 40 stalls selling Christmas cards, decorations, jewellery, ceramics, pictures and much more, and it makes just the place to find a present for someone special. The fair has a reputation for offering high quality pieces that you won’t find anywhere else, so don’t miss out on this festive Bath event.
