Eating out in Bath

Let’s face it, part of the fun of staying in a b and b in Bath is sampling the eateries the city has to offer, and it’s no surprise that the capital of elegance has more appealing restaurants than you can shake a spoon at.

So, where to start? Let’s start with the vegetarian highlight. Walrus & the Carpenter makes serving up veggie dishes with serious style its business, and trust us, there are even meals here that will tempt the most steadfast of carnivores. The Hole in the Wall restaurant is one of the town’s most popular spots for a spot of sophisticated sampling, and the cellar dining room’s atmosphere is cosy yet classy all at once.

The gastro pub has its place in any mini break, and for Bath we’d recommend Gascoyne Place. This pub is conveniently found opposite the Theatre Royal, so if you want something simple before the show then bear this one in mind. For a cracking log fire on a chilly winter’s evening head to Marlborough Tavern. This pub has the feel of a bistro throughout and its chef has Michelin star experience that shines through in every dish. Bon appetit!
