Nobody knows how to celebrate Halloween like the Americans, so embrace the spookiest season at Bath’s American Museum with an extra special event. Visit the museum on 31st October and take part in some special activities for the whole family. Children will be able to terrify their parents with the creepiest creations they can make thanks to the spooky crafts sessions, and fancy dress is more than welcome.
The museum is surrounded by grounds rolling on for more than 120 acres, and the surrounding landscape looks even more vibrant in the autumn as the trees begin to blaze. Better yet, thanks to a new shuttle bus it’s never been easier to travel to the museum from the centre of the city. The bus runs between Terrace Walk and the American Museum between Tuesday and Sunday.
Thanks to interactive displays the museum is an engaging one for all ages, and events such as the Halloween one keep it a firm family favourite throughout the year. Home to the largest collection of American memorabilia to be found outside of the USA, this museum is one of Bath’s finest and makes for a fascinating visit during a stay in a bed and breakfast in Bath.
