For those who enjoy real seasonal country produce, which is fresh and grown or produced locally, the Bath Farmers’ Market would be the perfect place to visit. And, if you are staying in one of the local Bath hotels on your holiday or weekend break, you might like to take something home with you.
The Bath Farmers’ Market takes place at Green Park Station in the city centre; it offers an undercover, all-weather shopping experience at a beautiful Victorian train station. Most of the traders featured at the Bath Farmers’ Market are situated within a 40 mile radius of the city, with all the local produce being sold by the local producers.
A typical range of products which are usually available include seasonal organic and non-organic vegetables and meats like veal, beef, pork, lamb, salt marsh lamb, chicken, venison, game, fish and seafood. You will also be able to choose from a wide array of award-winning local cheeses, pates, savoury pies, cakes, honey, chutneys, marmalades, jams, sauces, mayonnaise, oils, dips and handmade chocolates. There will also be a range of plants, herbs and flowers for sale.
Admission to the weekly Farmers’ Market is completely free and the opening hours are 8.30am – 1pm. For further information call: 01761 490624.
