From Friday 4th November, the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution will host an exhibition of new media art by photographer and artist David Lewis-Baker. Mr Lewis-Baker is a Bath resident and many of his photos feature locations from around the city, or work by local craftsmen.
Defining himself as a new media artist, David Lewis-Baker’s photographs are much more than just a snapshot; each is the result of the careful use of a variety of different digital processing techniques, creating a wealth of different styles and effects throughout the exhibition.
He has also been influential in setting up the Bath & Wessex Fine Art and Photography digital gallery, allowing people from all over the world to contribute to a collection of beautiful images taken in Bath, or for those living in the surrounding area to make their own art available.
The exhibition runs until November 17th and David Lewis-Baker himself will give a free talk at 7.30pm on November 11th. This is an excellent opportunity to involve yourself in Bath’s thriving cultural landscape during your stay in our Bath bed and breakfast.
