"Wonderful Stay”
Stayed for one night and cannot wait to return. We were greeted warmly by Terence who showed us to our room (equipped with iPod dock and champagne), all the while explaining the history of the house and the mechanics of breakfast. Room was lovely, with a large 4 poster bed and a nice, modern, clean walk in shower room, with a vanity unit actually in the room, which was a nice touch.  Slept like royalty and awoke to a fantastic breakfast – lovely fresh pastries as standard and a fine array of cooked to order items from the menu – all produce is locally sourced and really tasty. Location is great – a couple of miles out of Bath but a good walk will get you to where you need to be in no time. Cannot wait to return for longer.

"Peaceful holiday in Bath”
Great B&B. Hostess friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is superb. First day had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, second day poached eggs and bacon. All done to perfection. Garden and lounge area delightful to sit in. Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice touches to the room. Would definitely stay here again.

"Relaxing break in charming property”
Stayed in the Jane Austen suite which had a comfortable 4 poster bed and a lovely view of the garden and beyond which could be enjoyed from a pair of armchairs in the window area. No bath but a good shower with a range of complementary toiletries. This is not a modern type of hotel but had a great deal of charm and an excellent breakfast with a full range of cereals etc served buffet style, including fresh fruit salad, quality orange juice, yoghourt, croissants etc. The full English cooked breakfast was superb and it felt very decadent to also have a flute of champagne. Robes and slippers were provided & free WiFi which worked fine. I would definitely recommend this establishment for a relaxing place to stay whilst visiting Bath.

"Great stay”
A relaxing 2 night spa break at the Bailbrook Lodge. We booked direct with the hotel and were allocated the 'Lincoln Suite' which was excellent. A quirky washbasin in a cupboard, a great shower room and large comfy four poster bed! So comfortable we nearly over slept on the second day and missed breakfast! The room was on the top floor and over looked the garden and had far reaching views. The breakfast menu was extensive and very well cooked. All staff we encountered were attentive and very friendly. All in all a great stay to be recommended. Julie and Robert

"Girlie spa few days”
What a find!!! Gorgeous Georgian house in a beautiful setting. It's on a major bus route from Bath (number 13) every 20 mins so easy to get into the city but you feel away from it all whilst you're there. The staff are superb, helpful without being intrusive. It's clean, comfortable and historically beautiful. Breakfast is amazing, fresh and generous portions, with the added bonus of Champagne!! Will definitely be staying again!!!

"What an absolutely fantastic place to stay!”
We booked this accommodation over the internet with no real idea of what it was like and we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the lodge may not be 5 star, Yes some may even say it is a little tired, but what they may not mention is the ambiance, the location and more importantly the fantastic staff. Terance (we remembered the spelling), one of the assistant managers made our stay so much more enjoyable with his sense of humour and lovely welcoming manner. He made us feel at home from the minute we walked in the door. There was no request that we could have possibly made that he would not have fulfilled.  There was also a lovely lady in the dining room in the mornings who saw to it that we had everything we needed for our breakfast. And what a breakfast that is! Everything that you could want from cereal, toast to hot food. Too much to choose from. The location is ideal, being located near the main motorway and only a short drive into the city of Bath. The rooms are quiet with no traffic noise.I would not hesitate to recommend this lodge to anyone coming to stay in Bath, and if anyone of our friends from Australia want to come to Bath we will be telling them to stay there.

"Great place to stay”
The staff here are excellent. We took their weekend special and got a great welcome about the hotel and the area from Philip the manager on duty. The room was great. The hotel is quiet. We got a free bottle of Champagne. The room had coffee and tea etc. We went into Bath for the offer of 'main course free' with the meal. The restaurant on offer was opposite Bath station and very easy to get to. We had a good meal their and the pricing is fair as well. The hotel breakfast was good. Lots to choose from. Very English, quiet and a good outlook.I would NOT recommend this hotel if you want lots of modern facilities - but would highly recommend the hotel if you want quiet, peaceful, old-style hotelling.I loved it. This is exactly what we wanted - now to find more like this. Well done.

"Great place, lovely people”
Spent one night here and had a wonderful time from the minute we walked through the door to a warm welcome. Champagne on arrival and chocolates on the pillows. We had a smallish double room which was big enough and we had a great slipper bath. All the staff were helpful and friendly and the garden was a lovely haven. Will stay here again!

"Amazing”
Booked this for my friends 30th Birthday. Was on a Wowcher so didn't expect much for the price we paid. As they only had superior rooms left I choose 2 of these as it was a special birthday. Rooms are beautiful Four poster bed lovely views lots of room. Champagne was lovely owners and staff were very friendly As part of our deal we had a meal in their sister hotel. The food was amazing. So pleased that I am booking again soon for my Mums Birthday.

"Beautiful”
We visited using a great value deal from Wowcher. From my first contact with the hotel to try and book in the staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating in trying to find me a date; they had obviously been inundated with bookings, which isn't surprising! We arrived to be greeted with a warm welcome, shown around the hotel and then up to our room. We had paid to upgrade to a four poster which was well worth the money, the room was big, beautifully furnished with huge windows overlooking the pretty garden. Fairly small but perfectly adequate wet room with shower and toilet, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfy, like a big fluffy cloud! We took cab into Bath, which was a short drive (about £7.50 in a cab) and there is also a regular bus service. We had dinner included in our deal at the Royal Hotel, again the staff were very friendly, the restaurant was quite busy but service was very good. We both had 3 courses which were all delicious and great value for money. Breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent. Selection of juices, cereal, fresh fruit etc, then choice of cooked breakfasts, all was hot, freshly cooked and delicious and again served by lovely friendly staff. There was even a bottle of champagne to help yourself so I had a lovely Bucks Fizz! We would definitely return, a real gem of a place.

"Bath Break”
A nice boutique Hotel just off a main road, ideally close to Bath city. Totally spoiled by polite attentive hotel staff. Hotel does a really nice breakfast (champagne at breakfast on our Wowcher offer and a bottle on arrival). No evening dinner option but sister Hotel The Royal, right by the railway station really nice part of our Wowcher deal, number 13 bus right outside the Bailbrook £4 return.

"Family visit”
We stayed in this charming guesthouse for three nights as our daughter and son in law had just celebrated the birth of their first son. It was convenient for driving to the hospital and very close to their home. Would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends when visiting Bath. We were pleased to have booked a spacious airy four poster bedroom as we experienced unusually warm Spring weather. Extremely comfortable bed. Very good breakfast choice and friendly staff.

"Great BnB”
Stayed here for the Easter holiday - had a great time.Staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. Chocolate eggs on the pillows was a nice touch! (Presume it was for Easter)Though the highlight was the breakfast. I was expecting a buffet style breakfast, as you get in most hotels. However, in Bailbrook Lodge, the breakfast was cooked fresh - and was delicious! Would happily come again.

"Honeymoon”
We went to Bath on our honeymoon and The Bailbrook Lodge is a beautiful Georgian Building with 5 bedroom suites with 4 Poster Beds. The rooms are large and very well decorated with period pieces of furniture and furnishings but also with all mod cons. We stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon in The Jane Austen Suite which has a 4 poster bed and beautiful views from our bay window over the gardens and over the surrounding countryside. A very peaceful room with an ensuite bathroom with wet room, courtesy tray with a get selection of teas, including herbals, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, and bottled water. We got this nights accommodation as part of a wedding package at their sister business The Barn, Royal Tunbridge Wells. The number 13 bus from Bath bus station stops only about 50 yards up the road from the hotel so this was very convenient for visiting Bath. We loved sitting in the wing back chairs watching the sun go down in our room. I loved the fact that they put a chocolate on your pillow when you arrive and that they provide robes and slippers in the room. The breakfast in the morning was totally delicious as the fact that they have a bottle of champagne on the breakfast bar for the guests to help themselves is a lovely touch. We had only booked the one night as we were meeting family and had booked into a B&B which was supposed to be in the centre of Bath. Due to this accommodation not being what we had been lead to believe we ended up rebooking into The Bailbrook Lodge two days later for the rest of our honeymoon. When we arrived again we were greeted like old friends by Phil and found that we had been upgraded to The Beau Nash Suite which is another room with a 4 poster bed, wing back chairs, bay window overlooking the gardens just like The Jane Austen Suite. We stayed here for the last two days of our honeymoon and both mornings had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast as part of our breakfast. They have a good range of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, probiotic yoghurt drinks, herbal teas, tea and coffee and about 8 different hot breakfasts that you can order. I was tempted to try the Eggs Benedict but did not this time. The also have deliciously warm freshly cooked croissants and pan a chocolat. When I go back to Bath to visit my relatives I will definitely be into The Bailbrook Lodge again as everything about the place is superb and all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

"Four poster bed. Wonderful views.”
We stayed here using a Wowcher voucher. The staff, hotel and everything about our stay was lovely. There was a family staying at the same time as us and a group of young Chinese teenagers, depending on what you are looking for this could be the perfect venue. We certainly enjoyed our stay. A short trip into town on the number 13 bus ensures no traffic or hassle parking. Well worth a £4.00 day tripper ticket to go on first buses all day.

"Fabulous stay”
We were delighted with our stay here. We received this as a present which included dinner at their sister hotel in the centre of Bath. Dinner was very well presented with good service. You could tell the tight people who had also got the meal as part of a package as they missed out by not having a starter and a desert as they were as exquisite as the main course. The staff at the Bailbrook were very helpful and keep a clean comfortable hotel. We had a room with a comfortable four poster bed. The room was large with a plentiful supply of tea and coffee. Bath robes and towels were of a high quality. You can pick up a bus to Bath just outside the driveway then go and enjoy the sights and sounds of Bath.

Period surroundings and a touch of decadence”
A delightful find for a sneaky night away in historic Bath. Lovely period features and quality furnishings. Gracious hosts and plenty of extra special little touches that set this beautiful lodge apart from other establishments. A terrific range of breakfast fayre served in a dining room overlooking the garden. You could really feel yourself stepping back in time but with the benefit of the modern accents. What lifts it to a new level of decadence is the addition of the welcome champagne on arrival and the availability at breakfast. A return visit is certainly on the cards and would definitely recommend

"Great property on outskirts of Bath”
Stayed here for 1 night as we did a Spa Break at Bath Therme Spa. On arrival at the hotel we were given a tour of the hotel. We stayed in room 26 which was a small twin but nicely fitted out. Comfortable twin beds, TV with DVD player built in, tea/coffee making facilities and bathroom ensuite. It had lovely views over the garden. The hotel has a car park for around 15 cars and we ended up leaving the car there. To get into Bath City centre walk out of the hotel and cross the road. Walk up to the bus stop and catch either the number 13 or the 231 bus into town. Fare was £2.20 one way or get a day Rover ticket for £4 unlimited bus travel and use for the return. Journey time was under 10 minutes. When catching the bus back, go to the bus station and get the number 13 bus. Make sure you get on the one marked Bathford not Foxhill. This is found on the bus stop opposite the bus station. It will stop virtually outside the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was superb and the room was very comfortable. Would recommend this as a cheaper option to visit Bath rather than paying Bath more expensive prices. Only 10 minutes away but nice and quiet. Service at hotel was brilliant. The directions were spot on and bought us direct to the hotel.

"Great hotel break ”
My husband and I stayed at the Bailbrook lodge overnight on a Travelzoo deal. We were warmly welcomed and this continued throughout our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful giving us suggestions on how to spend our time in Bath. The hotel is quirky and comfortable with lovely views over the garden. I would have loved to see it in the summer. Our room was comfortable, with plenty of mod cons. There were chocolates on our pillows and slippers provided. The only drawback we found was that my husband found the slipper bath a bit small and you can't shower in it. Our afternoon tea was good and the breakfast - with bucks fizz was also lovely. As part of the deal we had a three course meal in the sister hotel The Royal. This was also very tasty with a good choice of menu. The deal was excellent value at £89 for the two of us. I would highly recommended it and would definitely stay there again.

"A great little find”
We had a great stay at the lodge. The staff we very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The link with The Royal Hotel in the centre of Bath was great as we had lunch their as part of the deal. Breakfast was everything we wish for with a table in the bay window overlooking the lovely gardens. A really lovely stay and will pay them a visit soon.

"Excellent two night break”
This was my second visit to Bailbrook Lodge and this time we opted for a suite with a four poster bed. The Lodge is a marvellous old house, appropriately furnished, and in a great location. Our room was fantastic and the bed was extremely comfortable. Ample supplies of tea/coffee/chocolate and biscuits in our room on arrival. We also had an Ipod dock which was great. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We could not fault the service. Breakfast was good, with a selection of fruit, cereals, yogurts and croissants, as well as a cooked breakfast. I had the salmon and scrambled eggs which was lovely and my partner opted for a full English breakfast. We also had Bucks Fizz for breakfast the second morning as it was my birthday and seemed an appropriate way to start the day!!! We were given a brochure about Bath and Patrick, one of the owners of the hotel, had recommended the Mayor's free 2 hour guided walk that leaves from outside the Roman Baths at 10:30 and 14:30. We joined the morning tour and we learnt so much about Bath that I had missed on my previous visit. The guide also had a good sense of humour and the two hours past very quickly. I really recommend this tour. We used the frequent bus service that stops about 100 yards from the hotel and takes about ten minutes into the centre of town. We managed to get into Sotto Sotto, a well respected Italian restaurant, on the second night - better to book ahead though. An excellent meal, lovely ambience and discreet , professional service. Would definitely stay at Bailbrook Lodge again.

"Great break”
Stayed at Bailbrook Lodge this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We got an amazing offer through Travelzoo which was worth every penny. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, breakfast and afternoon tea both fabulous as was lunch at the sister hotel. Our room was a little small but wasn't a problem. It was very clean and had lovely bedding. The Lodge was about half an hours walk out which suited us well and we also used the buses. Overall a lovely trip.

"An excellent weekend break”
Just returned from a 2 day stay here in Bath. Lovely room with four poster bed, good view of countryside, great location, superb staff. pleasant breakfast, nice quiet garden area, I couldn't ask for more. Booked meal alongside a 2hr spa session, absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this place to all. Get the bus into town (£2) as the road in is absolute gridlock, but there's a bus lane that takes you to the centre really easily. This was my first time in Bath & it was really nice. We had a beer & a non-alcoholic cocktail in the Circo bar? which was very nice & then headed on to the Grapes on Westgate street for a pint with atmosphere you could shake a stick at. We took Abbey taxis who were very knowledgeable about the history/ local attractions. Going to the priory restaurant later on, took us through the high backstreets with Mr Macrae's driving skills getting us there faster than light. Aside from having to pay to get into the Roman spa, Bath was a fine place. The Bailbrook lodge staff were excellent on reception/ in the breakfast room, very helpful & pleasant. An excellent experience & well worth a visit. If I manage on getting back to Bath, I shall certainly make this the place to stay. Cheers. Mr J.

"Superb as always!”
We have just returned from another two night stay at Bailbrook. We have been visiting Bailbrook at least twice a year for the last two or three years. We choose to return time after time as we love the luxury of the amazing four poster suites, the superb breakfast, the free and secure parking and the location for travelling into the town centre., not forgetting the extremely friendly but professional team. Recently we stayed at another Bath hotel thinking that we would have a change, how wrong we were! Don't get me wrong the hotel was beautiful but in reality didn't offer all the things listed above and charged us almost double the price. Hence we are back at Bailbrook and will happily continue to return! Keep it up!

TripAdvisor – February 2015

"Great one night stay in Bath - great hotel”
We stayed just one night at the Bailbrook Lodge and got out and about most of the time to see Bath. The hotel is about 5-10 mins outside of Bath, but don't let that put you off as there is a bus stop over the road, which run fairly often, and taxis from town back worked out at about £6-7. On the Sunday we parked in the Southgate centre and was £8 for 8 hours. We arrived earlier than check in time, and the room was ready so could drop off our stuff and get into Bath to explore. The room we stayed in was on the top floor and although a little on the cosy side, was everything we needed. The only thing we missed was a shower due the room having a slipper bath, but can see from other reviews that a room with a shower is available on request. If we had stayed for more than 1 night, we'd have asked if we could have moved. The hotel had loads of history, and the grounds are really nice.  Would definitely book again when we go back. Could not fault the stay at all. Great friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, lovely and quiet area, great residents room with open fire and board games.

TripAdvisor – January 2015

"Great food, very accommodating”
I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend. We had a really nice afternoon tea when we got in, and had a nice bottle of wine waiting in the room as requested at booking. The beds are very comfortable (we didn't want to go home to ours after!), and we both loved the made to order breakfast, especially the free champagne! Very nice coffee, tea and biscuits in the rooms as well. We also got the lunch deal at Brasserie Brunel. I have a lot of dietary restrictions that meant I couldn't eat any of the meals on the prix fix menu, the restaurant let us order a la carte up to the value of the pre fix, which gave us a lot more options. I ordered the chilli and butternut squash pasta, I highly recommend it. The Lodge is a bit out of the centre, a 15 minute bus ride that cost 2 pounds, or a 10 minute cab that costs about 7, but well worth it for the nice views and atmosphere. Our room was small and cosy, ideal for 2 people, gorgeously decorated, and very quiet even though it was just above the kitchen. The only downside was that we only stayed one night instead of two!

TripAdvisor - January 2015

"Marvellous place to stay”
Stayed for two nights. Lovely building decorated in keeping with period. Lots of free parking. Very close to bus stops and short trip to Bath (day return around £4). Room lovely with a slipper bath. Breakfast tasty with lots of choice. Very good service the staff worked hard. We were made to feel welcome; all staff friendly. I would highly recommend this B&B. Thank you

TripAdvisor - December 2014

"What a find!”
Four of us have just returned from this amazing friendly B&B. Both couples had a four poster bedroom and they were both very large with lovely views of the garden. Excellent tea and coffee making facilities, very comfortable enormous beds and complimentary bottles of water in the room. The staff were amazing very helpful especially Terence at check in and the lovely waitress who I think was called Jane in the dining room. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. There was a bus stop nearby with a regular service. This was great as it took away the worry of parking in bath. We will be recommending this establishment to all our friends and certainly will be going back ourselves.

TripAdvisor - December 2014

"Superb new management team”
We stayed in one of the four poster bedrooms on the first floor. The room was large and it had a large bay window to the front of the building with lovely views. Because the hotel is listed there are a few things which they are not able to change, and this room had a few things which were rather unique. The sink was outside of the bathroom, but as the room was large this was not a great problem. There was a beautiful fireplace in the room. The decor is what you would probably expect from an old hotel, no really modern furnishings, but lots of tea, coffee, biscuits and a coffee percolator in the room. There was also a hairdryer and a trouser press there were 2 chairs in the bay window overlooking the gardens. The breakfast was made to order and was good. I must say that the new management are superb, and their level of customer service is fantastic. Congratulations to Phil and Terence for making our stay such a good one.

"Wished that we could have stayed longer.”
This was our second visit to this friendly B & B. We enjoy the ambience of this relatively small establishment where the staff really seem to care a out giving good service. Our room was relatively small but well equipped and it had a comfortable bed. It is a fair distance from Bath City Centre but it is worthwhile staying there as it is nice and quiet. It should be borne in mind that due to its age there are no lifts and the stairs to the upper floors could be unforgiving to the less able.

TripAdvisor - October 2014

"An excellent stay at short notice”
My partner and I stopped in on the off chance of getting a room for the night having spotted  the lodge while driving past. Our reception was fantastic and the staff were very helpful in getting us a room even during the first weekend of half term. The decor was wonderful, very Jane Austin, the food at breakfast, delicious and the complimentary champagne really did start the day off well. All in all a wonderful stay, the price was right, the staff delightful and the bed incredibly comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting bath and indeed come to bath just to stay here!

TripAdvisor - October 2014

"Return after a year”
My husband and I have stayed at the Bailbrook Lodge about four times now, the last time this October. The room has been refurbished and is very pleasant although quite small, the beds are extremely comfortable and you have the feeling that the bed linen, duvets, towels etc, are new. I made a comment on our previous visit that the coffee and tea facilities were very poor. On this visit we found fresh coffee, tea, etc., in abundance and was topped up every day. The breakfast, with a glass of champagne, is freshly cooked and served in very attractive surroundings. A very pleasant stay which I would recommend to anyone.

TripAdvisor - October 2014

"Brilliant value”
We stayed for one night at the Bailbrook Lodge on a weekend break. I loved its location - close to town but a bit more peaceful with lots of parking and a fair bit of space.  The building is lovely and we stayed in the Jane Austen suite which is really spacious with a four poster and wet room bathroom. Very clean and tidy with two armchairs in the window so you can sit and look out over the garden.  The staff were really friendly and approachable but leave you to get on with things which I like!  We had a great nights sleep and enjoyed breakfast in the morning - it's a charming dining room with a fantastic range of food and drinks - although we didn't avail ourselves of the free champagne as I had to drive home, boooo. This hotel was excellent value for money and we'd definitely return.

TripAdvisor - October 2014

"Great Stay in Bath”
The rooms at the Bailbrook Lodge are fantastic for a special get-a-way. We stayed here for my birthday ( a present from my partner) on 3/4 October. The reception was very welcoming and Philip at reception showed us around the hotel is which is small and compact. The only downside is that there is no lift (and we were on the top floor). We were told that this was due to the hotel being Grade II listed. Breakfast was included in the stay and was nice & tasty and well presented. We also had lunch included in our stay which we took at the sister hotel, The Royal, in Bath. To get into Bath from the hotel you will need either a good pair of walking shoes/your car/taxi. However, this was a small inconvenience since the hotel was good value for money. I would stay here again.

TripAdvisor - October 2014

"Tremendous value on the edge of Bath”
Visiting friends who were staying at The Bailbrook Hotel, I erroneously booked the Lodge for the night.(apparently a frequently made mistake) However at 40% of the price and just a driveway from our dinner date We were well pleased. Booked into the Jane Austin room (allegedly haunted) with a four poster we had a superb South facing room with a good view or the garden and distant hills. Trees filtered the road noise. Reception was friendly and efficient. We understand that some people complain about the e-suit facilities as the original wash basin is in the room (although shower and toilet are en-suite) but that is semantics: It's part of the overall charm. We did not see a ghost (pity!) Breakfast was outstanding and includes complimentary Champagne. One's choice cooked to perfection with very good coffee. This is a particularly well managed, welcoming hotel. Parking is tight as not everyone keeps to their bays; but well off road. Visitors can reach central Bath by bus, taxi or walking if one doesn't want to drive and park.

"Beautiful classic Georgian House”
I stayed in this hotel for business. The hotel is easily accessed from the A4 and on the outskirts of bath. It has ample parking at the rear and the area seemed to be safe. Up the hill is a larger (and grander) hotel, which is within easy walking distance and serves a fantastic menu of food and wine, making it ideal for a weekend getaway. It has free wi-fi. Bailbrook Lodge is a converted grand house and the rooms retain the Georgian splendour the house might have seen at its zenith. The rooms, from what I saw, are all of a decent size with classic decor. The room was en-suite with a toilet and shower in a separate room and the sink in the main area. There was a Corby trouser press, an ironing board and iron. There was also a small flat screen TV with built-in DVD player, which folds out from the wardrobe. There were tea/coffee making facilities that included ground coffee and a small cafetiere press. My room faced out at the rear and was nice and quiet. The restaurant/breakfast room was pretty and faced out across a beautiful garden. For breakfast they have the typical fare of full English breakfast, but also Kippers or Eggs Benedict if you so desire. There was also a selection of cereals, fruits, bread, and fruit juices. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the food.  The hotel also had a small lounge with a bar, although it was not very large. A good place to stop before moving on to somewhere for dinner, perhaps. I would highly recommend this hotel as a place to go with a partner, and plan to take my wife there next time I am near Bath.

"Lovely experience”
We spent a relaxing 2 nights on a spa break at this charming inn. Having read some of the reviews, I felt trepidation; but the fears were unfounded. The staff was most accommodating, breakfast was delicious and the room was quite comfortable. The spa break package is a good value. The four-poster bedroom (Lincoln Suite) was very spacious. I recommend upgrading to one if it is available.

"Wanted for nothing”
Great location, on arrival we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The room was far better than expected and met all our needs and loved the walk in shower. The bed was so comfortable and if it were not for the champagne with breakfast I could have stayed there all day!. Overall a very relaxing experience and well worth the money.

"Amazing hotel and brilliant staff”
My husband and I stayed at this stunning hotel for our 3rd wedding anniversary and we couldn't have had a more wonderful time. The staff were so helpful, polite and always willing to recommend things to do during our 2 day stay. The breakfast was amazing - a cold buffet with juices, cereals, yogurts and even champagne! You order your cooked breakfast and it is brought out very quickly - also the same with tea/coffee and toast. There is a handy bus stop less than 100 yards down the road that goes straight to Bath centre (right outside the station - I believe Dorchester Street). We stayed in one of the suites with a 4 poster bed and en suite bathroom which was so comfortable and spacious - we genuinely couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting to celebrate 3 years of marriage - thank you so much to all the staff and management at The Bailbrook Lodge - we will be back!

"Wonderful quaint hotel on the outskirts of Bath”
We had a wonderful 4 night stay in this most English of Hotels. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff, more as friends than guests and it set the tone for our whole stay. We were given a lovely spacious room looking out into the garden with a beautiful 4 poster bed. We were travelling with our kids aged 7 and 10, so it is always a challenge to get them to sleep and not have to sit in the dark whispering, unable to do anything. In this suite, there was an adjoining room with 2 singles for the kids, so we could put them to bed, close a door and still swig a Gin and Tonic whilst watching TV and listening to music without them being disturbed and allowing us to be adults for a few hours. Marvellous!.We were able to make the kids room very dark, so they did not wake up at dawn (a first!), so we got to sleep until 8:30 am each morning on the most comfortable mattress I have ever found in a Hotel.  The toilet/bathroom was on the small side which was fine for my wife and kids, but being taller, I had to take a little care in the shower not to touch my head on the ceiling bulkhead. Coming from Dubai, I am used to the very best of the best in Hotels and service, so if I can only find the bijou bathroom to balance my otherwise enthusiastic and gushing review, it should speak volumes about the Hotel and most importantly, the wonderful accommodating staff. Truly excellent.  We stayed 24 days in the UK in many Hotels and this is the only review I have bothered to write as I feel more people should be able to find Bailbrook Lodge. Top marks to the fabulous staff - we will be back!

Enormous bed!”
A super hotel, very relaxing and comfortable. Extremely friendly staff willing to help and give advice about things to do and see and a beautiful room with a great view and the most enormous and comfortable bed we have ever slept in, this meant that I even managed to sleep (snoring husband) due to him being so far away! A half an hour walk in by the road means you get to see some of the incredible architecture and browse past some fascinating antique and furniture restorers shops and an hour walk in along the canal, totally different, peaceful, serene, only sound is the birds and the life of the residents and holidaymakers on their barges. A definite recommendation from us. Thank you Bailbrook.
"Lovely hotel with a real historical charm ”
My partner and I stayed here late July 2014 and were impressed! Our 4 poster room was stunning, with all the amenities we needed and was very comfortable. The hotel manager (I presume) was a lovely friendly lady, who clearly took pride in her work and the hotel. Breakfast was good and cooked well. And the garden/grounds were very peaceful and very well maintained. We opted to walk into Bath which took about 20 minutes, although buses were frequent. We found the position of the Bailbrook lodge just close enough to the town centre but far away enough from the hustle and bustle of city life. All in all thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay!

"Wonderful weekend break”
Found this hotel on internet. From moment we arrive we were treated like old friends. Cream teas in garden to really enjoyable breakfasts. First rate rooms Spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble. If only all B&Bs could be like this. Oh yes. Right on bus route to city centre. 10mins. A really good weekend break

"A break in our journey”
We booked Bailbrook Lodge as a stopover on the way to the South West ( Cornwall). A good sized room on the ground floor with a high standard of décor and facilities. The staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful and breakfast the following morning was excellent. We spent an evening in Bath which is convenient for the hotel and well worth a visit.

"Quirky, friendly and relaxing”
We booked Bailbrook Lodge as we wanted something different to your bog standard Premier Inn. We had a four poster bedroom which overlooked the garden, well worth paying that little extra. Even though we were near the road and slept wi
